We have designed our Camp experience around both Youth & Elder family members attending Together! Be they Nimosim, Nokum, auntie, uncle, parent, or any other supportive adult, Both Generations will bridge the Gap by experiencing the full week of Camp activities side-by-side!

A Camp History
Starting in 2006 ...
... StandingRock Kids Computer Camp began as a fun, hands-on way to introduce youth to technology and computer skills. Since then, it has grown into a community-focused Tech Camp that brings Indigenous youth and families together to learn and explore technology. In 2026, the Tech Camp proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary under the spirit of "Wahkohtowin in Action!"

What is “WÂHKÔHTOWIN IN ACTION!”....?
It is an Exciting Evolution of our Kids Camps towards an "Inter-Generational Model" of delivery that Engages and Encourages both Young & Old Generations to Explore, Learn, and “Level-Up” TOGETHER!
Rooted in the spirit of “Wâhkôhtowin in Action!”, this year’s Tech Camp is about more than teaching just technology skills. It is about connecting generations by creating opportunities for Youth and Elder Family members to learn & laugh together. Via Fun, hands-on activities, creative projects, and community-centered learning, our Tech Camp 2026 celebrates the Strength of Inter-Generational Bridges and Connections through Technology!
That is Great! WHO can Register?
Any Youth and Supportive Elder family member (Family unit) can register together!
The two (2) Age Groups are:
- 8-12yrs + Accompanying Adult Family Member.
- 13-17yrs + Accompanying Adult Family Member.
To ensure the full experience benefits of the spirit of the Camp, we highly recommend & encourage the commitment to all 5 days (the Full Week of camp session) of both generations. The spirit of this year’s camp is intergenerational learning together, so "drop-off-only" participation for the Adult will not be optional.
The camp is intentionally designed so youth and their accompanying family member can explore technology, creativity, and shared activities as a team.
What are the DATES of the Camp Sessions?
StandingRock KIDS Tech Camp 2026 is delivered in 1-Week Sessions over 4 Sessions (4 Weeks), from July 27 - August 21, 2026.
- Week 1: (July 27th - 31st) 8-12yrs + Accompanying Adult Family Member.
- Week 2: (August 3rd - 7th) 13-17yrs + Accompanying Adult Family Member.
- Week 3: (August 10th - 14th) 8-12yrs + Accompanying Adult Family Member.
- Week 4: (August 17th - 21st) 13-17yrs + Accompanying Adult Family Member.
There are 20x SEATS Available for Each 1-Week Camp Session.
- Each Youth Attendee is ONE Seat & Each Accompanying Elder family member is also ONE seat.
Thus, EACH Week will comprise of 10x Youth + 10x Accompanying Elder family member = 20 Attendees per 1-Week Session.

SESSION #1: JULY 27-31 (8-12 yrs), Maskwacis Cree High School
SESSION #2: AUG 03-07 (8-12 yrs), PIGEON LAKE Mimiw-Sakahikan School
SESSION #3: AUG 10-14 (13-17 yrs), Maskwacis Cree High School

For all Camp Attendees, our AIM Every year is 100% FREE! ... We are currently actively seeking Grants & Sponsorships for Your Child & their Elder Family member to attend at no Cost out of pocket!
Since 2006, we have hit this 100% Free to Attendees Goal Every Year! ... But it you have any further questions -OR- have your own Sponsor ready, please have them connect with us via Email: Camps@StandingRockKids.com and we will be happy to make arrangements directly!
